FloorWorks, Inc. was founded by owner Doug Phillips in 1998. With over 30 years of experience in the flooring industry, Doug decided to specialize in the hardwood and laminate areas of floor covering. In 1996, Doug became one of the first Endorsed Installers for Pergo laminate flooring. In 1999, Doug helped open the Pergo Endorsed Installer training facility in Jacksonville, FL and still conducts installation training for Pergo. In 2000, Doug became a member of the Armstrong Installation Training Network. He continues to work with Armstrong in all facets of hardwood, laminate and vinyl installation training. In 2002, Doug also became a member of the Kahrs Koncept training program for Kahrs Hardwood flooring. Doug is also a full time Lieutenant with the Jacksonville Fire/Rescue Department.

Another asset to the FloorWorks family is Joe Moore. Joe served in the U.S. Navy, and retired as Senior Chief Petty Officer. Before retirement, Joe became involved in the hardwood and laminate business. He graduated from the Pergo Endorsed Installer program in 2000, where he met Doug. Joe became an installer for FloorWorks shortly thereafter and did quality installations for several years. He is well versed in all aspects of hardwood and laminate flooring. Joe has attended many hardwood and laminate training programs, and has become well known for his knowledge in the industry. Joe is the Operations Manager for FloorWorks.

Robin Powers is our accounting agent, although she does much more. From payroll to sometimes cooking lunch, Robin is our multitasker and is an intrical part of our day-to-day operations.
